What is the metro stop to visit the Colosseum?
- To reach the Colosseum just take the line b colosseum stop.
Colosseum is a stop on the Rome Metro Line Blocated in the Monti district and inaugurated in 1955.
The stop has two entrances: the first in Piazza del Colosseo and the second in Largo Gaetana Agnesi.
Opposite the main entrance to the station is the Colosseum and theArch of Constantinewhile proceeding along Via dei Fori Imperiali you can reach piazza Venezia and the Capitol as well as neighbours archaeological sites of the Roman Forumof the Palatineof the Ludus Magnusof the Domus Aurea and the Imperial Forums.
Also near the station are: Colle Oppio, with the Basilica of St Peter in Chains and some vestiges of the Domus Aurea, the Basilica of Santo Stefano Rotondo al Celio, the Basilica of Saints John and Paul, the Basilica of the Four Crowned Saints, the Basilica of San Clemente al Laterano and the Basilica of Saints Cosmas and Damian.

Across Rome northeast to southfrom Rebibbia to Laurentina. The most important stops are:
- Termini: Connection point between the metro and the railway station, where trains from Fiumicino arrive
- Colosseum: Stop near the Colosseum and the Roman Forum
- Piramide: If you arrive by regional train from Fiumicino, you can take the metro here.

Timetable
- The metro is open every day from 5.30 a.m. to 11.30 p.m..
- On Fridays and Saturdays it runs until 01:30 hours.
- Metro tickets can be purchased at station ticket offices, kiosks or tobacconists.
- It is important to have tickets or a season ticket before boarding other local public transport such as buses or trams, as it is not possible to buy tickets on board.
