Information on the best times to visit the Colosseum
The Colosseum cannot accommodate more than 3 thousand people at one time. Considering that it is the most famous tourist attraction in Rome, be prepared to wait in line.
The average waiting time for the Colosseum is 45 minutes to an hour. The best time to avoid long queues is to go early in the morning or late in the afternoon, when there is less tourist traffic.
Another good idea is to book a guided tour or rent an audio guide, for which there is a separate line.
